MILE 1 - 8:40 a.m. start time. 55 degrees with a high in the low 70's. Partly sunny with a light breeze...
MILE 2 - Not feeling extremely motivated today!...
MILE 3 - Exploring some new trails to change it up....
MILE 4 - The trail did not go to far, but it was a nice change of scenery...
MILE 5 - As I left the trail and went back to the street I found yet another small turtle sleeping in the middle of the street. So I picked him up and turned back to to trail to get him far away from the road!...

MILE 7 - It looks like there might be some rain today...
MILE 8 - I am looking forward to next year when I can run a normal 5-7 miles per day and spend the rest of the day working on my books until my kids get home from school. That is my dream...
MILE 9 - And I can run a marathon or two every month as part of a national book tour, traveling with my family...
MILE 10 - The great thing about this next ten months and the challenges that come with running a marathon every day is that the time is going to pass anyway!...
MILE 11 - Much like today, once it is gone, it is gone forever, we never get it back...
MILE 12 - It is good to remind yourself that regardless of where you are, you will never pass this way again...
MILE 13 - On an entirely unrelated note, I am starting to get warmed up and my legs feel good. My feet, not so good, nothing new!...
MILE 14 - It started to rain real light, then stopped...
MILE 15 - Got home from work last night well passed ten again. No wonder I feel a little sluggish today...
MILE 16 - It is starting to sprinkle again...
MILE 17 - Desperately needing some coffee at this point!...
MILE 18 - Time to head back to the south...
MILE 19 - Back into the city streets again...
MILE 20 - The wind out of the south that I am running directly into has become quite strong...
MILE 21 - Just plugging away at this point...
MILE 22 - This wind is gradually wearing me down!...
MILE 23 - Picked up some coffee and a running partner to battle this wind...
MILE 24 - My last mile into to wind, so I can finish with the wind at my back...
MILE 25 - I started with some trail running today, so I might as well finish with the same trails...

MILE 26 - Today I would easily classify as one of the more challenging marathons both mentally and physically. There are times when ut becomes real easy to question what I am doing!!!

Just think, only 300 days to go!!!
I have completed a full
marathon seven days a week, whether I felt like it or not, as a platform
for a book that I spent 9 years working on.
The message of the book is
that we can do pretty much anything ONE DAY AT A TIME. The book is not
about running, it is about improving. It is about getting better at
anything we want to improve at by making small incremental improvements
that make the difficult things not only achievable, but relatively
easy.
This book was written for anyone who desires to get motivated and
more importantly discover how easy it can be to STAY motivated.
Anyone
can get motivated, very few can stay motivated. I am giving this book
the epic platform that it deserves because I believe that staying
motivating is the bridge between dreams and reality.
