42nd marathon completed in 42 days

Mile 1 -11:47 a.m. - 53 degrees and cloudy. Rain all morning with a forecast of no rain in the afternoon called for an afternoon run...

Mile 2 - The high today is near 70. Should be a perfect day...

Mile 3 - I am feeling well rested and relaxed today...

Mile 4 - Runmeter app seems to be updated. I like the new format better...

Mile 5 - The clouds are now being replaced with sunshine!...

Mile 6 - Today's light breeze is perfect...

Mile 7 - These blue skies will make it a great day for pictures. I'll try not to get too carried away...

Mile 8 - Heading west over the Mississippi and feeling outstanding so far....

Mile 9 - Today's feedback has been extremely inspiring for me...

Mile 10 - Conditions for running could not get any better than they are right now....

Mile 11 - I am incredibly lucky to have such a beautiful place to run in everyday....

Mile 12 - Crossing back to the other side of the river, next stop, more Gatorade. And I almost stepped on a snake while writing that!...

Mile 13 - Gradually clouding over a little more and with the temp getting closer to 70 it's not a bad thing....

Mile 14 - Heading back to the east, into the marsh...

Mile 15 - Once I am in the marsh the running becomes real easy. I just focus on what is around me, the sights and sounds...

Mile 16 - Five snakes just off the path, one big frog crossing the path, and a concert of birds all around me...

Mile 17 - Heading back to the bluffs and energy is still holding up...

Mile 18 - Feet beginning to feel a little tender though...

Mile 19 - Humidity is coming up now and I can definitely feel it's effects....

Mile 20 - Back on the south side now...

Mile 21 - I have been making up the route as I go each day once I leave thr marsh. It has been fun, because even I do not know which way I am going to go!...

Mile 22 - Once I leave the marsh all that I know is that I am going to work my way back to the south....

Mile 23 - Variety is the spice of life!...

Mile 24 - Almost there :)

Mile 25 - Now would be a magnificent time for a second wind. Fortunately, my oldest son, brought out the mountain bike to keep me company for the last few miles! He even proved that your never to old to enjoy a swing!

Mile 26 - It was a later start than I usually prefer but WE got it done - Thanks a gazillion to all my running partners out there, because that is exactly what it feels like, all of you motivating me with your words of encouragement. It makes all the difference in the world. Thank You.
