What if the author of the book or audio program you are currently studying was meeting you one on one?

Would you have any difficulty in making the time?

Notice how high of a priority it would become as well the likelihood of you taking notes!

Set a big goal for yourself and believe that you can achieve it.  The goal should never change, just the time line associated with it.  Never let anyone shake your clarity on your abilty to achieve the goal.  Never.

Never stop asking yourself... "What WOULD you do if you KNEW you could NOT fail?

Because you can...

There is always a reason not to do something.  But remember, we only need one reason to do something.  What if our default reason that we chose to do something was because we get to?!
Works for me.  Every time.  Without fail!

I have finally learned to walk ten minutes, then run, walk, run, walk, run, walk etc...
Then cool down five to ten minutes at the end.

Here's a thought for you.  If some how you knew that success at anything was guaranteed, stress would simply not exist.  Try this on for size, accept the fact that you already achieved the income goal, the weight goal, the relationship goal and notice at that moment the absolute peace that you feel almost instantaneously!

Of course the other idea is that you continue to live in a mental state where none of your goals are already achieved. Let me know how that works for you!

Just remember, if you keep doing what you've been doing, you WILL keep getting what you've been getting.

Sunset over the Mississippi

The more rain we get here it seems the more bugs we get.

Translation - tonight's short 11 mile mountain bike ride I was going through clouds of bugs at times!

But the sunset made it worth it.

Another day at the office...

I now live the American dream of working from home.

Most of my work takes place on the phone as I have found a company that offers a coffee that is the best I have ever had in my life.   In short, I love this stuff.  So much that it is what I do full time now.  I am a coffee distributor.  The best part is that I get to work from home.  I already have customers in seven states in the U.S. and would love to expand internationally.  It is only a matter of time anyway.

This evening as I was following up with some of my contacts via phone in the back yard a young robin came along and decided to hang out with me!

Life can't get much better than this.  My kids are playing in the back yard and my office is at home.

If anyone who reads this would like a sample of this coffee, e-mail me and I will gladly send you a sample.  As I was, you may be shocked at how good this is.

Contact me via e-mail if interested at

Happy Father's Day

Perfect day and perfect scenery for this morning's 3.4 mile run with my yellow lab.

Since it is father's day, today I pass on to you the greatest thought my father passed on to me growing up...

"No matter how bad we think we have it, someone has it way worse"

Remember that and keep life in perspective, life is always what we make it.

Why we must be "reminded"

Life offers us countless "reminders" that inspire us, motivate us and sometimes even stir our soul.  Then, we forget!  Life happens.

Arguably one of the greatest "reminders" we will be reminded of in life is the simple fact that if we "remind" ourself any thought or idea enough times, it becomes automatic.

More importantly, until we remind ourselves anything so many times that it does become automatic, the thought or idea will be completely random.

In short, anything worthy enough should be placed somewhere that you are reminded again and again until it is so automatic , it becomes part of who you are, part of your identity.

If not now, when?

After all, you ARE capable of way more than you can comprehend.

Raw motivation...

I challenge you to...

Work today as if you were paid $100,000,000 for what you do...

Eat today as if you were paid $100,000,000 to eat clean...

If you actually do this, notice how you feel.  Notice the clarity.
You had it all along.  You just had to channel it...

A quick challenge for TODAY...

Just for TODAY, I challenge anyone who is reading this, where ever you are in the world, where ever you are in your life, raise your STANDARDS.

Raise your standards as to what you will eat and drink today.

Raise your standards as to what you will do with your time today.

For a little help, simply remind yourself that if you keep doing what you have been doing, you will keep getting what you have been getting.

If that doesn't help, then simply remind yourself that TODAY is all you ever have, once it is gone, it is gone forever, you never get it back.

La vida siempre es como to la hagas

Purpose and passion...

Great reminder for today.

Live with passion.

Live with purpose.

Life is short.

And TODAY is all that you've got.

Interest -vs- commitment

"...The difference between interest and commitment... When you're interested in doing something, you do it when circumstances permit. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results."

- Harvey Mackay

My challenge to you is to put that thought into context.

Defining success...

Every now and then I find something on Facebook that is truly powerful. Here is an example that has stuck with me for days and will stick with me for years to come. The thing to remember is that we never know when we will be hit with a thought or idea that has a radical impact on our lives.

"SUCCESS" defined:

1 - Happy
2 - Healthy
3 - Reasonably prosperous
4 - Secure
5 - Friends
6 - Peace of mind
7 - Good family relationships
8 - Hope

Remember... Awareness is the greatest agent of change.

These eight ways of defining success come from Zig Ziglar. My challenge for anyone reading this is to measure your success for as many days as you can using this list as your guideline.

Seven second reality check...

Those in the front of the line were once in the back of the line!
The top twenty percent at everything started at the bottom, just like every one else!

Put that simple thought into context in your own life today.

A simple idea

I have subscribed to some great blogs from some great authors yet I feel that most of the updates are too long.  Of course, this is just my own opinion, but I have felt this way for a long time.  With that thought in mind, I am going to begin to do something very different.  I am going to randomly publish blog updates that are extremely short.  The purpose is to make a difference.  No more, no less.  It is my hope that whoever this blog reaches applies the thought to their own life.  Context makes all the difference.  After all life is what you make it.  (Start with that one).

Balancing life

After all of the marathons that were completed in 2012 finally I can say that my feet are getting back to normal!  Now that I am achieving more of a balanced life, I am planning on working on my books that are awaiting publishing.  I am extremely excited about having these books published.  My books have not made a massive difference yet, but, they have made a difference.

I hope that whoever is reading this is making a conscious decision to make every day count.  I continue to remind myself every day that everyday above ground is a great day.  It is amazing how a simple thought can shift our focus and as a result change our reality.  So simple, yet so easy to forget.
