44th marathon completed in 44 days

Mile 1 - 7:07 a.m. Start time
37 degrees and cloudy with a light breeze out of the south....

Mile 2 - Rain on the radar to the west, but it does not look like it will make it here until this evening...

Mile 3 - Feeling a little sluggish at the start this morning...

Mile 4 - Gradually getting loosened up...

Mile 5 - The goal today is not to move fast, it is just to keep moving...

Mile 6 - All that matters is this one step (literally and metaphorically)...

Mile 7 - Perfect weather right now, not too cold and not to warm...

Mile 8 - Finally I am on auto-pilot. It takes longer some days than others...

Mile 9 - Heading west over the Mississippi. It is almost impossible for me to not stop for a moment, look south down the river and just take in the beauty that most people drive by and don't even notice...

Mile 10 - I was so deep in thought I did not even notice I had past another mile!...

Mile 11 - This park I get to run through every day is like running through a post card...

Mile 12 - Little by little the pain that I experience from doing this is becoming more and more manageable!...

Mile 13 - It almost feels like a fall day today!

Mile 14 - Heading back over the river to meet up with my running partner...

Mile 15 - Back down to riverside...

Mile 16 - To the west the clouds are beginning to break up, turning out to be a great day...

Mile 17 - In the marsh, wind becoming more of a factor...

Mile 18 - MY STATUS for the New York City Marathon lottery:
JUST RELEASED....
Marathon registration status: Not accepted (odds of getting in - about 8% - odds of getting in if I did not apply....0%)

Mile 19 - Trail running again...

Mile 20 - Hixon Forest....

Mile 21 - Going up...

Mile 22 - On top of the bluff now \0/...

Mile 23 - A beautiful view even on a cloudy day...

Mile 24 - Continuing east along the ridge...

Mile 25 - Pastures!!!...

Mile 26 - By far the most scenic run yet!  It took a little longer, but it was worth it.
