88th marathon in 88 days completed

Mile 1 - 9:12 a.m. start time. 75 degrees right now with a high of 90! Though with the humidity it already feels like 90!

Mile 2 - Planning on splitting today's run up between the heat and the air conditioning...

Mile 3 - And right now it is HOT!...

Mile 4 - But in the fleeting moments passing through the shade of a tree it is wonderful...

Mile 5 - As hot as this is right now, it is a refreshing break from the last two 26.2 mile treadmill runs!...

Mile 6 - I get the benefit of having a running partner now to help the miles pass that much easier...

Mile 7 - Now Eric gets set the course and I can just enjoy the run without having to decide which direction to go...

Mile 8 - And the conversation makes the miles so much more enjoyable...

Mile 9 - Mixing a little trail and finding more shade...

Mile 10 - My feet are a little tender but better than usual...

Mile 11 - Running on the bike trail along Lake Onalaska....

Mile 12 - The further north we go, the more shade we are finding...

Mile 13 - Will have to turn around after this mile and head back to the south...

Mile 14 - Now we get to run into the breeze...

Mile 15 - Which feels great when running under a tree, because it is getting closer to 90 degrees...

Mile 16 - I am hoping that it hits 88 degrees today!...

Mile 17 - Though we are both feeling a bit dehydrated at this point!...

Mile 18 - Time to find a convenience store...

Mile 19 - We hit it!... 88 degrees on day 88!!!...

Mile 20 - Considering the heat I am still feeling strong today and my feet are holding up good...

Mile 21 - This will probably be my final mile in the heat. I can enjoy the last 5.2 miles on the treadmill, in the air conditioned living room while watching a movie with the kids...

Mile 22 - Back in the air conditioning...

Mile 23 - This is truly the definition of a cool down run - finishing inside!...

Mile 24 - Watching "Zorro"....

Mile 25 - Almost there...

Mile 26 - Another day, another 26.2 miles.

26.2 miles completed just after 4:20 p.m. - 26.2 miles 88 days in a row.

I have completed a full marathon seven days a week, whether I felt like it or not, as a platform for a book that I spent 9 years working on.

The message of the book is that we can do pretty much anything ONE DAY AT A TIME.  The book is not about running, it is about improving.  It is about getting better at anything we want to improve at by making small incremental improvements that make the difficult things not only achievable, but relatively easy.

This book was written for anyone who desires to get motivated and more importantly discover how easy it can be to STAY motivated.

Anyone can get motivated, very few can stay motivated.  I am giving this book the epic platform that it deserves because I believe that staying motivating is the bridge between dreams and reality.

This book is available in paperback as a print on demand - if you wish to order a copy or twelve, click here.
