69th marathon in 69 days completed

MILE 1 - (5:00 a.m.) 48 degrees right now with a high near 80 today...

MILE 2 - (5:14) A little cold right now!...

MILE 3 - (5:27) Started a little early today...

MILE 4 - (5:40) My daughter has a school function at 11:45 this morning...

MILE 5 - (5:53) I have missed these things for six years. NOT today!...

MILE 6 - (6:06) Here comes the morning sun!...

MILE 7 - (6:19) Heading back to the south to pick up a running partner who just texted me...

MILE 8 - (6:31) I will never turn down company on a run!...

MILE 9 - (6:43) It is turning out to be yet another gorgeous day!...

MILE 10 - (6:55) Now running with Eric...

MILE 11 - (7:07) Now it will be that much easier for me to keep moving...

MILE 12 - (7:20) The river is as calm as a mill pond right now...

MILE 13 - (7:33) Deep in the marsh, the land of no cars!...

MILE 14 - (7:46) The wind is non-existent today...

MILE 15 - (7:59) The camera could not come close to capturing the beauty of these families of geese in the marsh....

MILE 16 - (8:12) Heading back to the south...

MILE 17 - (8:24) Feeling exceptionally well today...

MILE 18 - (8:36) Dropped off one running partner, now going further south to get another one!...

MILE 19 - (8:48) Trying to maintain my pace at this point...

MILE 20 - (9:04) You don't know the difference that having a running partner makes until you find yourself at mile 20 without one! Not for long though...

MILE 21 - (9:37) Kahle (mi hijo) running with me now...

MILE 22 - (9:50) One foot in front of the other at this point...

MILE 23 - (10:03) Back to just grinding it out at this point...

MILE 24 - (10:16) The wind out of the south has picked up considerably...

MILE 25 - (10:30) Almost there!...

MILE 26 - (10:45) Glad I started early. It is already getting very, very hot.

FINISH LINE at 11:03 (almost done with enough time to get cleaned up, then off to my daughter's school function, then off to work)

Just think, only 300 days to go!!!

I have completed a full marathon seven days a week, whether I felt like it or not, as a platform for a book that I spent 9 years working on.

The message of the book is that we can do pretty much anything ONE DAY AT A TIME.  The book is not about running, it is about improving.  It is about getting better at anything we want to improve at by making small incremental improvements that make the difficult things not only achievable, but relatively easy.

This book was written for anyone who desires to get motivated and more importantly discover how easy it can be to STAY motivated.

Anyone can get motivated, very few can stay motivated.  I am giving this book the epic platform that it deserves because I believe that staying motivating is the bridge between dreams and reality.

This book is available in paperback as a print on demand - if you wish to order a copy or twelve, click here.
