49th marathon completed in 49 days

Mile 1 - 7:53 a.m. start time. 59 degrees with a high of 80 today. Late afternoon showers are predicted...

Mile 2 - Going to attempt to match yesterday's pace again...

Mile 3 -The start always seems a little slow...

Miles 4 & 5 - Finally into a comfortable rhythm...

Mile 6 - It is starting to feel like summer time!...

Mile 7 - I am feeling fantastic so far...

Mile 8 - Heading towards the river...


Mile 9 - Just a light breeze out of the south today...

mile 10 - I am starting to see the paint on the road for this Sunday's La Crosse Marathon...

Mile 11 - I am looking forward to having people to run with on Sunday...

Mile 12 - Still keeping my pace just under a twelve minute mile...


Mile 13 - Not as easy as yesterday, but not nearly as tough as Monday...

Mile 14 - Heading back to the south...

Mile 15 - For some reason I had a stomach ache but it is feeling better now...

Mile 16 - Kahlen (my son) took out the mountain bike to keep me company the last eleven miles...

Mile 17 - Back on the highway, straight into the wind which has picked up significantly...

Mile 18 -At least the traffic was light on the highway today...


Mile 19 - Goose Island is beautiful today...


Mile 20 - Stomach ache is coming back...

Miles 21 & 22 - Beginning to feel the heat...


 Mile 23 - Back on the highway heading north...


Mile 24 - 84 degrees on the bank thermometer we just went by...

Mile 25 - It actually feels like 94!!!...

Mile 26 - My feet feel kind of numb right now:)
